Spring Break

It was relaxing. Which, is really all I wanted from Spring Break. That and to clean my room at home, which is actually mostly clean. It took like an hour or two, not nearly as long as I thought it would. Now I just have to do cosmetic stuff. Which is the hard part. Anyways, my relaxing spring break has made me ready for my final quarter at Davis. I'm also sort of dreading it because I can tell I already have major senioritis. Which is why I'm dropping my upper division pol class. I just need to find another class to take.

After, I found out I didn't have jury duty on Monday, I really didn't do much until Thursday. However, Wednesday was my baby brother's birthday. He turned 17. We just had a cookie cake at the house. We're going out to dinner later in the week.

Thursday I went to chili's with some friends of mine. i had the bacon burger, with the bacon on the side. I'm not big on the whole bacon on my burger thing. I like it for breakfast, but I thought someone else would eat it. Turns out they were all too full from their food. I really like the hamburger, but it was nothing special. The fries were also really good.

I got a watermelon margarita, but with vodka instead of tequila with my dinner. At least I think that's what I ordered. I was never really sure if that is actually what I got. I originally ordered a strawberry lemonade with vodka in it. The drink didn't taste too much like one or the other. So, I was really confused. Whatever it was the drink was decent, nothing amazing. I thought I had a picture of the drinks, but I guess I didn't screen shot it from my friends snapchat.

We went to Vinnie's in downtown Concord that night as well. It was super crowded. We left at like midnight because one of them had class to go to early the next day and there was a line outside of the bar. It was ridiculous and I have no idea why it was so busy. There was nothing special about the night. It was weird.

On Friday I trimmed my hair and then picked up Xavier from school and hung out with him for a couple hours. He ended up not wanting to go to the museum or anything. So, we didn't play hookie from school.

We went to Color Me Mine in Walnut Creek and he painted a mug. I thought he would paint it a little more colorful, but he just painted it black. i think he was originally trying to make it look like a Ninja. I think he had fun though. We didn't have time to go shopping for his backpack before his practice, but we got a pretzel and some pizza. He was begging for a pretzel. It was pretty funny.

After that, I took him to baseball practice and I hung out there until his mom got there. He looked so silly with his big ole hat on and sweat pants. He wasn't even wearing cleats. I guess they were in his backpack and he just forgot to put them on. All the other kids had baseball pants on, cleats, and their hats fit. He just looked so silly, but so cute.

Friday night I met up with some friends at Farrington's. It was a chill night. We mostly just caught up. I hadn't seen one of them in like over a year. So, it was super nice to see him again. He's working near home now. So, maybe I'll see him more. We were really good friends in high school.

I went and got sushi with some friends. Everything we ordered was pretty good. I don't even know what we ordered, but we all shared and it was yummy. It may have been a little over priced though. I don't know if I would choose to go there again, but I guess the guys go there kind of often. I stayed in that night. I think I even went to sleep early.

I hung out with my sister for awhile at her house. Had fun playing with my nephews. I love spending time with them. After that I went to I love Teriyaki with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday. I'm not a huge fan of it, but the rest of my family seems to love it. I got my normal meal, beef teriyaki with a side of miso soup. It was good, but nothing special. It really just tastes like beef teriyaki. I wish I had more to tell you about it, but sadly I don't. Sorry.

Yesterday, I stayed at home all day until my brother's party at my grandma's house. I looked at how much cleaner my room was and thought "I should clean it more." and then I was just too lazy to do it. So, I wrote this much needed blog post. I started a bunch this week and just never got around to finishing them.

My grandma made tostadas for dinner. They were delicious. I've been craving homemade tacos, but this definitely filled that craving. I feel like I didn't eat as many as I normally do, but it was still just as amazing. I put beans, beef, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese on mine. I loved it. I wish I could of brought some back to school with me. Then we had some chocolate cake I think for my brother's birthday from Alpine Pastry. I didn't have any, but it looked absolutely delicious. I was too full from the tostadas to have some cake.

The Dreaded Job Search

Bored looking for a job
With my impending graduation in June looking for a job is constantly at the forefront of my mind. It really just makes me more stressed and bored then anything. I'm really good at looking for jobs I can apply for. However, I'm not very good at the whole actually applying for the jobs part.

It is just so stressful. You have to make sure your resume and cover letter are perfect for every single job. So, it takes like 30 minutes to apply to a single job, that you most likely won't even get. It's very frustrating.

During Spring Break I was supposed to focus on starting to apply to jobs. However, it's extremely boring and I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it. Hopefully, today or the next two days will go better because I really want a job not to long after I graduate.

I mostly use two websites to find jobs. My school website, Aggie Job Link, which I think anyone can sign up and use. As well, I get emailed a list of jobs that the House of Representatives is looking to fill. However, after I met with someone who used to work on the Hill. He made it seem like it would be really hard for me to find a job without being in DC already. Anyways, hopefully it all works out.

P.S. My one and only tip to you for finding a job which may or may not be helpful is to set a schedule and a goal. I've never looked for a full-time job in my life, so this might not be right at all. But it  works for me, I just haven't set one yet.

What websites do you guys use to look for jobs?

Monday, March 23rd

Today I spent most of the day with my BFF Amanda. However, we took zero pictures. We started the day by getting manis and pedis for my birthday at Crystal Nail Salon. They were my birthday present from her mom. Yes, my birthday was over 2 months ago, but we hadn't had time to go get them done since my birthday. She's on a very strict nail schedule. I find it kind of funny.

I was trying to get them done when my nails were longer, but because of finals I was super stressed. Which means, I bit my nails like a crazy person. The nail lady even made a comment about how short they were. But, I'm pretty sure they're actually longer then normal. lol.

My toe nails are actually more of a bright green then they are pictured here. My finger nails are more of a blue green. I wanted them to match, but not be exact matches. Especially since my toe nails will probably stay this color a lot longer then my fingernails. They'll definitely have to come off before my next drill with the Marines.

After, that i had to wait until 11:30 to make sure I didn't have to go to the courthouse for jury duty. I didn't.  I was super happy. I really didn't want to end up on a case. So, I went home for a couple hours and watched TV.

Amanda came and picked me up later and we went to the mall. I finally returned those American Eagle shorts I mentioned here. Part of me wanted to return the Tilly's shorts because they cost more, but I'm really happy I didn't because I loved them so much. I almost bought this tribal shirt at Forever 21. It would of been super cute to wear out at night. I knew I would get tons of use out of it, but there was like a 10 minute line to purchase items and it was a little too similar to some of the tops I already own. So, I decided to leave it in the store.

We then went back to her house and attempted to watch the newest episode of Scandal, but we missed like half of it. She was talking super loud to her dad. We had sushi from My Sushi for lunch. It was so good. I wish i knew which roles were which though. We tried the Best Friend Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Drunk Fish Roll, and the Clayton Rd. Roll. They were all pretty good. There was one i wouldn't get again, but I don't know which one it is. So, that makes that kind of difficult.

Lastly, her mom made us snickerdoodle cookies. I like so many of the different kinds of cookies she makes. We were supposed to help her. I'm not sure why we didn't. After we made cookies, I got a call from my Sergeant and he gave me great news. i can go on a different AT. Therefore, I get to walk at graduation and spend time with my dad. I'm so excited.

They were really good, but not my favorite. I really like peanut butter cookies, dark chocolate chip cookies, the breakfast cookie, the Neiman Marcus cookie. Basically I like lots of cookies. And home made ones are doubly special. I always love trying them. She asks me to all the time when I come over because her mom knows how much I love cookies.

Weekend Roundup 5

Thursday, March 19th
If anyone goes out in Davis they go out on Thursday Night, mojito night. Pitchers of Mojitos are $12. My whole apartment pregamed together at our apartment. There were like 20 of us. It was really fun.

After that we headed to mojito night at Bistro 33. There was a line out the door to get in. It was crazy busy. The only reason I could think this happened was because everyone was celebrating the end of their finals.

It was so much fun because everywhere we went in the bar we ran into someone we knew. I loved it. Some of my friends from Sac came too. I hope they had fun. I should ask them because I really hope they did.

After bistro 33 we went to Tres for a little bit. It was really fun, but it was way too crowded. So, we tried to go to Our House across the street but the line was really long and the wait wasn't worth it. So, we went to get food.

Saturday, March 21st
I didn't go out on Friday because I was attempting to study. But right after my final Saturday I went home and met up with one of my friends.

We went out to Farringtons but the crowd there was really weird. We played pool for a little bit and just hung out. However, we weren't really feeling the music or anything. So, we attempted to dance for like 2 songs and then left.

Sunday, March 22nd

On Sunday, I went on a 6 mile walk with in remembrance of my friend who passed away 2 years ago. It was really nice to see her family again. It was a walk from the park near her parents house to the cemetery. I don't go to the cemetery very often because they make me sad.

Afterwards my friend and I went and got breakfast at Panera. It was actually more like lunch, but it was still just as delicious. I got broccoli cheddar soup. It was really good. If you haven't tried it yet. You really should.

March 21st

Two years ago today I lost one of the most amazing people.  I met her in bootcamp and only knew her for over a year. I've talked to people about her on multiple occasions and I can tell that they simply think that my friends and I losing her doesn't mean that much. Does it mean more to other people, I'm sure it does, but my grief and the way I feel does not take anything away from anyone else.

She was one of my closest friends. She always gave the best and the funniest advice. I loved it. I really miss her advice and just everything she would say. She always said stupid funny stuff.

Everyone tells you it gets easier or you get used to the pain. Honestly, I really don't know what it is, but somehow it does get better or easier. Something changes. I remember when I found out I didn't think it was true. I didn't think it was true at all because the story was just too crazy. It was just something that couldn't happen to someone I knew, but it was.

I can't go to the church or the cemetery today because of that final i've been complaining about all week. Honestly, it makes me kind of happy. I hate churches. They just remind me of death. Plus, it means I can just put off feeling sad for another day. At least, I hope it works that way. It's been working pretty well I think. Until I started telling you about.

This post really isn't informative. It might just be a rant. You'll learn that I do lots of those. This blog is about me and my life. So, I just thought I would let you know.

Hit the Books

In case you're wondering how my finals week is going. It's going as expected. Somehow I feel like everyone is done already and I have a final until the very last time slot on Saturday. Who gives someone a final on a Saturday night. Like how cruel is that. I think this is cruel and unusual punishment and someone should do something about it. lol.

Anyways, my finals week is moving along very slowly and I'm just ready for it to be over already. Which it almost is. Just one final left, but its not for like 2 days. So, it still feels forever away. It's so far away I can't even get myself to concentrate and study. I can only seem to do it like right before the final. This is partially why late finals are absolutely horrible for me. There's no reason to study the night before.

Somehow this quarter all my finals were in the afternoon. I usually have 10:30 or 1pm finals. It's been pretty hard for me to study. So, this week was just spent me procrastinating studying. I did go for a run the other day, but it was kinda short. I'm looking forward to going out tonight. No reason not to since my final isn't until Saturday night.

How has your week been? Were you stuck studying? Or was this your Spring Break?

House Birthday Parties

Surprisingly, she is the non-family member I've known the longest in my life. Not that she is mean or anything because she is actually that absolute opposite. I don't think I've ever seen her hurt a fly. It's mostly surprising because I met her in the 2nd great in elementary school. We were actually pretty close at one point. We did our 5th grade science fair project.

However, getting older we just drifted apart. I really don't have any recollection of what happened. So, it was clearly nothing bad. Just life. Not that I don't love her because she's amazing, but the only reason we continue to be friends today is because of my best friend Amanda. She's really good friends with her, which made us reconnect. So, we hang out pretty regularly now.

Plus she's an angel. I actually hang out with her more then Amanda because she lives in Sacramento now and no longer has a boyfriend to take up all her time. So, she's lucky and gets to spend tons of time with me.

This picture we explicitly took for Amanda's mom. So, it doesn't count as part of the party, but we did take it at the party. She got us all the same Kate Spade necklace for Christmas and she's been wanting a picture of us all with it on. It has our initial in the front and on the back it says one in a million. I have no idea why, but all these pictures turned out horrible. We stood in this order because out initials spell the word ASK. It sounded like something cool to do at time.

However, before I got to celebrate her birthday. I was lucky enough to have dinner with my sister and her family before they went to the Marvel show for Xavier's Birthday. Since, they were driving to Sac I asked if they would mind stopping to have dinner with me before the show. We didn't do anything fancy. We just had Subway, which, I'm pretty sure Xavi is in love with. I only saw them for about 30 minutes, but it was nice to at least celebrate his birthday with him a little bit. I cannot believe he's 6 already. They were both a little grumpy at first from the car ride, but by the end they were all smiles.

Anyways, her party was a nice fun get together of her friends. Her sisters even came up. It was so weird because I haven't really seen them since like elementary school. They looked so different. I'm really glad I went. I mostly just hung out with Amanda, Tyler, and the birthday girl's sisters but it was nice. We talked about super random things. It was great.

Overall the party was just super chill. I've never really been to a crazy party that you see in TV shows and stuff. I feel like they would be fun if you knew a lot of people, but they could also get super crazy super fast. The marine guys want to have one. With them though it would be super fun.

Back to the party. It was nice to have a nice calm get away from all the final stress. Plus, I had to write a paper all day Sunday. So, I couldn't drink that much on Saturday anyways. This house party was a lot better then the last one I went to. The last one, I didn't really know anyone and something about it just wasn't fun. Side note: I didn't drink at all that night and that is everyone's excuse for why I had zero fun.

I took a fun video of her blowing out the candles at midnight. Her actually birthday was on Sunday, but you can't have a party Sunday night.

In conclusion nice calm house parties can be a nice change from time to time. And they're extra special and fun when you have someone's birthday to celebrate. What do your friends do for their birthdays? Do they have parties? or do they just do tons of homework like I did for my 23rd?

The Park- Friday Night

Birthday Girl
With finals next week and a 10 page paper due on Monday, I should definitely not be at the bar. However, one of my friends who graduated in June came into town this weekend. And I already had plans to go to the club to celebrate my other friends birthday. So, I told her to come up and she and my dorm roommate could join us. Then we would have a fun girls night because my best friend was supposed to come up Friday as well.

However, my BFF ended having an english test on Saturday. How you forget about an English Test i have no idea. Then my friend who's birthday we were celebrating sister came up on Friday to make jello shots. She isn't 21 yet. So, they couldn't join us at the club. However, she was able to join us at the pregame. It was super nice to see her and her sister before the party. I haven't seen her little sister since I was in high school I think.

 My outfit:
Dress: Forever 21, recent $10
Booties: Clarks, 3 years ago, $60 dollars

I really couldn't decide the shoes I wanted to wear this night. I wasn't thrilled with any of them. I felt like my club shoes were going to hard core for Sacramento, but my booties were just too dressy for the outfit. I thought about wearing my vans which actually didn't look horrible. I feel like it put a tomboy spin on the outfit, but they were wearing heels. So, they wanted me too to. So, I compromised and put my booties on. In case you can't tell the dress is blue in the front and black in the back. Down the whole back is a gold zipper.

In the end it was my two friends from college and I. My Marine friend and his roommate. We all ended up having a really good time. One of my guy friends from the Marine Corps and his roommate ended up joining us.They're all super chill and we had such a fun time. My friend that was visiting had so much fun that she wants to go like once a month now.

So, I probably spent half the time in the club with just my girl friends. You know what I discovered? I wouldn't say less guys hit on you when you're with more girls, but they more just look at you and hope that you'll give them the signal to talk or dance with you. Which I find totally creepy. I would rather just have a guy talk to me and just get it over with. I don't want some random guy looking at me all night trying to get me to send him secret signals or something all night.

Pretty much all night when my girl friends and I were dancing we were just pulling each other away from guys that would come near us. It probably doesn't help that they both have boy friends. So, they don't really want to dance with guys in the club anyways.

On to the specifics of The Park. The vibe felt about the same as when I went on a Saturday. However, the club seemed emptier. Maybe it was because I got there earlier this time or because finals are coming up for us here in davis, but in general the bar seemed more empty then the last time I went.

In case you've never tried the guest list at the park. On Friday's if you get on the guest list and arrive before 11 then there is no cover. So, you can save 15 dollars if you don't mind getting to the  club before 11. However, my guy friend was on the guest list too and they got there after 11 and he only had to pay 5 dollars. I wouldn't even mind paying just 5 dollars. So, if you even think you're gonna go to The Park one night just put yourself on the guest list so, you can have a little more money for drinks or the ride home.

Almost every time I've been out in Sac I've uber back to my friends place and its usually like 8 to 12 dollars. Nothing major, but tonight when we left the bar at like midnight it was saying it would be 21 to 30 dollars. It was 3 times the multiplier, but still that's ridiculous. Look out for my post on how save yourself from the surge prices.

Anyways, that was my Friday night. Did you guys stay in and do homework or did you go out and enjoy yourselves after a nice long week? Happy Monday! Your week is gonna be a happy one.

The People You Hit the Bar With

Just thought I'd throw you this advice before you go out for the weekend. I hope you enjoy yours. I will and I have finals. Probably not a good idea, but I love my friends.

This came to my mind because I was out a couple weeks ago with one of my guy friends and he asked me "Did any guys hit on you tonight?" My initial thought was when would they have had the time to hit on me? I was with you all night. However, this response was wrong because I did get hit on in the minute or two that I was looking for our friends. But to me it was an outlandish question because most of the time I just hang with them at the bar. So, I didn't really see how the chance for me to get hit on was probable.

I used to think the group of people you went to the bar with didn't really matter. That the experience would be the same mostly in response to how you get hit on. However, the more I've gone out, the more I realized it does. Especially the difference between going out with girls or guys This makes a significant difference.

Since, I'm in the Marine Corps. I have a lot of guy friends and I love hitting the bars with them. They're tons of fun and I really don't have to worry about anything happening to me. However, I've realized I don't get hit on very much when I'm with them. Which really doesn't bother me because I'm going to the bars to have fun. I personally don't think I'm gonna meet the love of my life in a bar. I think I'm gonna meet him through friends. So, I go to bars because I enjoy the atmosphere and I love to dance.

Its not that I never get hit on with them around its just 10 times less likely. Its happened before very rarely when I'm standing right next to them, but it has. That was an awkward situation since, I told the guy my friend was my boyfriend and he still wouldn't leave. But usually they hit on me in the 5 seconds I'm away from. They're not even trying to buy me a drink or aggressive. They'll just tell me I'm pretty. Which I find to be a nice compliment.

I can't really tell you much about what happens when you go out with the girls because I've only done in a couple of times and my reactions to the guys are generally the same no matter who I'm with. I reject them because I'm usually just not interested. So, I don't really notice the difference between the two situations. However, since I'm most likely just going to be with my girls tonight I'll let you know how it goes.

My point here is if you're trying to get hit on in the bar you should probably go out with your girls instead of your guys, but if you just wanna have fun then it doesn't matter who you go out with. I've had a great time with my girls and my guys. I've also had not so great times out with them both as well. It's all about what you make it. So, make whatever you do amazing and you'll live an amazing life.

What have you noticed when you go out with different gender groups? What do you do to enjoy your one life?

X turns 6!!!

I'm so sad I won't be with him today or this weekend to celebrate his birthday, but me and him are gonna play hooky during my spring break to celebrate. I can't wait, but I have to wait two weeks until it can happen.

Right now he's thinking he wants to go to the science museum. Not really my thing. I'm kind of hoping he changes his mind, but he reminded me that that is what he wants again last night. So, I don't think that is going to happen. Which is fine. I'll have fun with him either way. Anyways, here are some pictures of X and me that I love.

Weekend Round up: 4

This weekend was pretty low key. I didn't do really anything exciting. Friday I ate pizza from this place called The Pizza Box in San Jose, its on N. Jackson (I couldn't find there web page). To me it tasted like pizza. It was simply good pizza and it was cheaper then any chain restaurant. Well not including Little Ceasar's of course. So, it was a pretty good deal.

This is actually from Thursday.
I was doing Marine stuff all day Saturday. We didn't do anything exciting, unless you count watching people pee for a piss test exciting. I don't, but that's pretty much what I did on Saturday. Saturday night we got dinner at this Mexican Restaurant in downtown San Jose called Iguana's. I've went to it once before after going out. The burrito was alright, but I think I'm definitely more of a taco girl. So, I wish I got one of those.

I didn't finish my whole burrito, but I was hella craving nacho's so I got some nacho's too. The Nacho's were amazing. I wish I just ordered them. I definitely would of finished all my food then. They were so good, but because I was full from my burrito I didn't eat that much of them. I was pretty sad about it. It's kind of a weird thing to be sad about, but whatever.

Sunday, I pretty much waited around all day to do my admin audit and then went home. My sister made me some ribs for dinner. They were delicious. i was so happy I got to hang out with my nephews. I feel like I haven't really had a chance to just enjoy their company in awhile. So, it was really nice.

I saw them for a little bit on Thursday before I went out, but since all of my family was there enjoying them isn't the same. I can't explain it, but it just isn't. Plus, I think I only saw them for like 30 minutes. I did get that picture with Q though. He looks so cute. Me not so much, but my hair was just acting funny it looks like.

My sister, my brother-in-law, and I played this game called Rack-o. I think it might be a little kid game, but it was actually pretty fun. My sister won the first two games and was getting a little cocky, but it's ok because I shut her down in the 3rd game. I was hella happy and my brother-in-law was too because he said if she won again she would just brag all night. lol.

That was my weekend. How was yours? Do anything crazy or have a chill weekend at home? Or did you have to work all weekend like me?

Monday, March 9, 2015

I go through phases where I absolutely love starbucks and go like once or twice a week and then I won't go in like a month or two. I'm currently in a period where I haven't gone in a while. I actually just let one of my free ones expire. I'm a little upset about it.

However, I just saw this message from them advertising deals they have for the month of March every Monday. And I totally think I'm going to take advantage of them if I can remember too. I can't even remember to use my own "free drink" reward. Anyways, if you have a Starbucks Rewards card you can totally use these "Raise a Cup" deals between 2pm-5pm.

Monday March 9- 30% off food, drinks & more
Monday March 16- Two teas for one
Monday March 23- Free pastry with drink purchase
Monday March 30 - Frappuccino Happy hour (50% off frappuccino.)

Thursday Night- Vinnie's

Before going out I attempted to make a philly cheese steak, even though I didn't have the right bread. I got the idea and recipe kind of from the First We Feast. It was horrible, but I failed to realize that for a Philly Cheese Steak you have to cut the meat and then fry it and not the other way around. So, I really just had a stead sandwich with provolone cheese on it. It didn't taste bad, it just wasn't really how you make a Philly Cheese steak.

Anyways, onto my night. My guy friend's love to spend Thursday night at Vinnie's in Downtown Concord. Every thursday night is salsa night. There's usually a pretty good mix of older and younger people and there was tonight as well.

This time we didn't really dance that much. We kind of just hung out and talked to people. They have a patio in the back where if you want you can smoke and just chill. Which is nice because it can get really hot inside.

The outside wasn't to crowded today, but it really hasn't been overly crowded since summer. Which makes sense. People are less likely to go out when it's cold. Everywhere will probably start to pick up not that its becoming warmer again.

I meant to take a group picture because I haven't gone out with one of my friends since like November, but that didn't happen. We were waiting for pretty boy to get dressed for forever. So, there are no pictures and I forgot. But it was still a super fun night and I got a picture of my outfit.

I love this shirt but I haven't worn it in a while and today I felt a skirt to vinnies was too much. During the summer I wore my skirt and boots everywhere though if it was more then just a bar. I felt like dressing super cute all the time then. Anyways, onto the outfit.

Crazy, I'm going through my old posts and I've realized I've already worn this outfit before on here. I feel like I just started my blog and this shouldn't be happening. This is why I'm pinning my outfits on pinterest. Now, I'll know what I've shown you. Anyways, it is a tiny bit different since last time I didn't wear the jewelry. Not that you can see it well in this picture, but I'm wearing a gold necklace and bracelet.

Recipes Gone Bad

So, I really wanted a Grilled Cheese Wednesday night, but I already had one the last two days. So, I had this great idea that i would use the new Blue Cheese and spinach I got from Trader Joe's and make an amazing salad.

I did a little googling before making it and realized most people use a provolone or mozzarella, but for some reason this did not scare me. I thought to myself "It's cheese how bad can it be." So, I sliced my Blue Cheese and got some spinach and went ahead and made my grilled cheese despite the warning signs that this would probably not be very good.

The first bite wasn't too bad, but by the 3rd and 4th. I definitely had too much Blue Cheese. It wasn't half bad when there was a good amount of spinach in the same bit. So, if you do decide to try this recipe definitely add lots of spinach so as to not taste too much Blue Cheese. However, then it might not be a grilled cheese and more just a spinach sandwich.

Wednesday night, my roommates and I also tried more of my chocolate and alcohol. And let me just say they all continue to be amazing. It's just like a little snack at the end of the day. The chocolate is amazing. I would definitely just go out and buy the chocolate as well.

Drinking Alone

In Davis I generally eat dinner alone. I usually just got back from babysitting and no one is home or they are busy studying in their rooms. Whenever I have beer or hard cider in the house, I generally want to drink it with my dinner or shortly after dinner to relax and enjoy a little bit of my night before I start studying.

If I get around to grabbing one out of the fridge I sometimes have this short thought of should I be drinking this alone? If I remember to grab it before I eat my dinner it really isn't a big deal because it's just a drink with dinner. However, every once in a while I'll forget to grab it with dinner and I'll still want a beer while I watch TV. So, then, I'll think if it's ok.

This weekend it came up while my friend and I were walking to the club. He acted like it wasn't a big deal. So, I got to thinking why does this bother me and yet he thinks nothing of it.
1. I think it depends on what you're drinking alone. And 2. how much you are drinking.

I wouldn't normally sit at home and take shots, by myself. However, a beer or glass of wine could be fine since, it just with dinner or a movie. I realized that even this little bit bothers me a little because of how I was raised and how my parents react to the drinking of alcohol.

Me and my Corona
I bring up alcohol and my dad just thinks I'm an alcoholic because he just sees me through Facebook. Which, often involve drinking because that's when people think to take pictures is when they're having fun.

My mom very rarely even has a drink with dinner when we go out. The only alcohol in their house is mine that I just forgot their or they got for presents. So, basically my family isn't really a drinking family. Therefore, any type of drinking is a lot for them and this is why, my drinking a beer at night alone is something I worry about.

This is the outfit I wore today. I did change my pants after class though because the ones I was wearing before were hurting my stomach. I need to hit the gym, but they are always more tight then these ones.

Do you guys ever worry about drinking alone? Do you think it should or shouldn't be done? Or am I simply making a big deal out of nothing?

Downtown Sac

Outfit of the Night
Saturday Night was an adventure walking around downtown until we finally made it back to The Park. So, we planned to meet our other friend and his friends at The Park in downtown.

I am in love with this outfit. Normally, I wear this shirt with jeans and it flows out. This is the first time I wore it tucked in. The shoes I wore were my Clark Booties. My skirt that night felt super short. I usually love this skirt, but I didn't like it that short.

Tank Top: Tj Maxx, last summer
Skirt: American Eagle, 1 year ago.

Anyways, once me and my guy friend got there he called them. They changed there mind and wanted to go to Mango's. So, we caught an Uber for like 5 bucks.

We called them when we get there and he says they're almost here and we're pretty sure he told us to go inside. We went inside it wasn't that great. We got a vodka red bull and then they said we should go to K Street instead. I was a little annoyed because we just paid the $15 cover to get into Mango's, but there really wasn't that many people there that night and I've been super wanting to club. So, I didn't say anything. (Apparently Mango's is usually a lot of fun. It has like 3 dance floors. From the glimpse I got none of the dance floors looked that big though).

Then we headed to K Street and I was finally going to get to see the mermaid bar (Dive Bar), but the line to get in was taking too long. So, we went straight to Social. We got in pretty quick, but once we got to where we have to pay the friend we met up with decided that we just saw hella guys go in so, there would probably be no girls and that we should leave. So, then we left and headed back to Park.

We finally got into the Park at like midnight and it was taking forever to get a drink. So, we ordered 2 each at like 12:15. We drank the first one and then went and danced. There was hella people and the music was really good. So, it was a lot of fun. If you didn't want to dance they had a really big outside patio. I didn't really look around, but it was really nice. The cover for The Park was also 15 dollars.
This is me when we were leaving The Park. We were waiting for our friend before we could all leave to get food. I was bored in the car making funny faces. We didn't get to a restaurant before they all closed. So, we ended up eating McDonalds. I don't even really remember what it tasted like. The french fries were really good though. I want some now.

So, I definitely plan to go to The Park again. Have you been to the park? What did you think of it? What did you do Saturday night?

Chill night at Home

My friends and I were supposed to go to The Graduate Friday night. I thought we could line dance, play some pool, just hang out and relax. However, we never really established if we were going or not since they didn't think we would actually play pool and last time we went everyone was too embarrassed to line dance. And me and one of my other friends were still kind of getting over a sickness.

So, she just decided to come over and we would hang out and drink. Then maybe go to The Grad if our other friend decided to come. He did end up coming and brought the wine we won at Sophia's. So, we ended up making a run to Trader Joe's to have some dark chocolate with our wine and then went back to my apartment. Then we watched some Cool Runnings, Holes and played Cards Against Humanity.

At first we thought it might not be that fun since it was just the three of us, but it was still really fun. It was the first time I ever played and I'm so happy we did. Basically, it was just a really nice relaxing night at home with some friends. I'm gonna miss this when I graduate.
It was really fun watching those old movies again. I haven't watched them in forever. Shia LaBeouf looked so little and when that movie came out I could never imagine him being in Transformers. I just saw him as the kid from Even Stevens.
The wine, La Playa, that we won from Sophia's was absolutely horrible. I could barely finish the first glass, but then J wouldn't finish her's. So, I thought I would help her. That second glass actually started to taste pretty good. I think the beer and first glass of wine helped.

However, I'm not a big fan of red wine in general. It reminds me of church. But my friends didn't really like it either. So, I definitely wouldn't recommend this brand of wine. But we should of known that it wasn't going to be great since it was a twist off.

How was your Friday night? What do you and your friends do when you stay in?
